With wetlands, ponds, forests, grasslands and pollinator plots, Clearwater SWCD's public Conservation Farm has been available for school groups, hunters, hikers and skiers to visit since 1994.
We are sad to say that our storage building at the Conservation Farm located East of Leonard has been broken into and vandalized with property damaged. Our Conservation Farm has always been free to the public to use for hunting, environmental study, hiking, etc. and we would love to keep it that way! Due to this recent vandalism we will be increasing security. Please be aware that there are cameras on the property and buildings are locked for a reason. We ask that you respect the land, buildings and rules at the Conservation Farm. If you see anything suspicious, please give our office a call. 5/20/24
The Conservation Farm is located at 27546 Boorman Road in section 13 of Dudley Township. North of Shevlin and Southeast of Leonard. Look for the big brown sign that says "Clearwater Soil & Water Conservation District Conservation Farm, 1994, USFWS & USDA Cooperating." Roughly 0.2 miles East of the brown sign is our parking lot.

Hunting is allowed on the Conservation Farm, but a permit from our office is required (and a MNDNR hunting license, of course). Simply stop by the office to fill out a permit for you and your fellow hunters!
Be sure to follow all rules when hunting on the property. Failure to comply with said rules will results in a loss of hunting privileges:
The Conservation Farm does not usually have cell service. This is a great way to locate where you are at when visiting the farm.
